Ruth Woodrow

Portraiture, creative, street and documentary photography are my favourite genres. I have even combined documentary photography with my love of creativity and colour by turning images that were shot on the street into colourful collages.

Highlights of my career include winning the AIPP Newcomer Award in 2020 for my “Melbourne in Isolation” collage, created over three months of lockdowns; winning the Reportage category of the 2023 Julia Margaret Cameron International Photography Award for Women; and winning the Single Shot category of the 2023 Photographer of the Year with my image, “The Fires”.
